(Long story with a great ending)

It was about 11 tonight and i was on this site doing my dayly reading, i had just opened a new drpepper when i heard a thump and a car with an exaust leak drive off so i look out the window at my pickup and we live on a culdasac and there was a suv lookin thing comin back and there were kids yellin out the window. So i ran out side to see what they did and there were egg shells everywhere and all over the drivers side of my pickup.

I ran in side and told my mom and got the keys to my dads pickup so the egg didnt smear all over mine and i took off. i got down to the end of my road after passin all the egg cartons and broken eggs all over cars the whole way down the street. and there they went so i followed them and got the tags and the year and make like normal. i stayed back but i kept watchin to see where there goin while i had the police on the phone lettin them know what the deal is.

Then i came around the corner and lost them, so i drove around some more and saw the reds and blues . When i got up there too them there were 6 16 year olds sittin on the curb with 2 cops and i gave them my name and address and all that info.

Well i got home and got to work on my pickup i scrubbed it for 30 minutes to get all that crap off. they had gotten out of the car and broke eggs in the door cracks so it was all over the place inside the door jams it was nasty. then since i had just washed it on sunday. i didnt want to leave water spots so i just washed the whole thing in the dark with a big spot light sittin on the ground.

I was pumped when i saw they were caught i sure hope the cops give them the full treatment hahahaha. when i was out there washing one of the cops came by the house to get some more info and i told him my story and he was amazed he asked me if i ever considered gettin a job in law enforcement. I just feel bad because the the officer wouldnt let me go tell everyone else about there car he said they would take care of it in the morning cause it was too late. I just hope the egg doesnt hurt there paint. What im the most mad about is that its almost 2 in the morning and ive got to work early and they ruined a good drpepper, damn stupid kids.

 

yea atleast you got yours cleaned up almost right after. I got hit with what i guessed was just one egg, but it sat all day in the sun, and possibly two days in the sun, since i didnt move it all day, the day before i noticed it. I just wish people would respect others property.
My friend made me feel better saying it was probably some high school kid that was jealous of my truck so he and his friends egged it.

Dont feel so bad man, egg will wash off, 6 big long key scratches for absolutely no reason won't. You can't have a new vehicle around my town,
8astards will key it just cause its a new truck and I guess they're jealous.... and no i dont have any pics and dont plan on taking any, makes me sick just glancing at the scratches

 

I thought your title said GOT EDGED tonight. I was like what does eggs have to do with getting your truck EDGED.

Didn't defend me. I just wouldn't want you to get in trouble over some idiot post on a message forum trying to show how macho you're. There was a guy on a racing forum who showed a video of himself racing at like 110mph speeds. Well he got into it with some of the members. Low and behold they took his license plate number contacted his local pd and got him in some serious trouble. The guy is facing prison time. So be cautious.

I came close to getting egged here recently... the punks were so weak, they didn't throw the eggs hard enough to reach my truck or the wife's car! We get up and there are like 8 eggs busted on the driveway...

 

I might get put in jail if I caught someone egging my truck.

 

I'm with ya on this issue. I've worked too long and hard to let some kids damage my rig.

I don't think I would have the resraint to follow those kids and wait for the police. I get VERY personal when it comes to my truck. I'm afraid to think what would happen had I caught them "red-handed".

You are all lucky -a few years back I got egged while cruizing down the freeway at 70+. Every one of the three that hit my truck (my old 98 Expy, not my FX4 thank goodness) left a nice egg shaped set of scratches down to the metal. The repairs were just a shade under 900. The local police were very busy that night as a bunch of middle school kids were tossing them. It seems that they bought a case, that is 12 dozen at the local super store and no one thought any better of it. There were eggs all over the neighborhood. The store will no longer sell cases to juvies because of the flack from the incident.

I never would hae believed that eggshell could do that much to a paint job, but it will.
