flowmaster question
I had a 18" Magnaflow installed on my 2 day old 06 Scab yesterday and it sounds great. Quiet at idle and absolutely no drone while cruising but throaty when you give it gas. Man that stock muffler is a beast!

I have a single chamber flowmaster (racing muffler), it's incredibly small but packs a pretty mean rumble, as mean as the 5.4L will get. I get a little drone but it's not too bad or annoying.
I had my stock muffler cut off and a Flowmaster 50 series welded in place. The 50 series flowmaster was exactly what I wanted. Not quite as loud as the 40 series, which was just right for me.
I've got the Super 40 SI/DO. But, I couldn't tell you if it drones or not since the Mud Grapplers are way louder.
Right now, Im trying to figure out if it'd be louder to do true duals from the Y-Pipe back with two SI/SO Flowmaster Super 40s?

That's the setup I have thumper, expect with original 40's. It's the first exhaust system I've had on a truck so there's nothing I can compare it to. I just know that alot of people have commented on it saying it sounded good. It's very quiet at idle, but when your on it everyone looks to see who is coming. It was expensive to do the true duals, but I think well worth it.

I got the 40 series SIDO one. It is too loud for my taste although it seems to have gotten a bit quieter after having it for 1 month. Does the sound change with time or am I just getting used to it?
