8100 miles and my truck is back at the dealership...

Had a break in my day and decided to go get some food... Started it up, started driving and noticed the truck seemed to be vibrating a little more at idle than normal. Wondered if it was in my head but it kept getting worse...

Stopped to get some food and when I started it up again it barely got started and the CEL is on... Don't really feel any power loss. Just vibrates bad at idle.

I took it in to get that checked and it needed an oil change and tire rotation anyway.

And I asked the guy about the A/C compressor clicking on/off a lot and he's like, "That's normal on these new trucks. Will probably hear it every 10 seconds or so"

It didn't seem like a misfire vibration though. My old truck had a misfire when a sparkplug kept getting damaged and it didn't seem like that.

It was more like a pulsating.

no clue though... I'll hopefully be able to get my truck back tomorrow as I don't have another vehicle to use.

Anyone think I got some bad gas? Had a couple friends say that but it's never happened to me before.

Would it show up at the beginning of the tank or the end though? I've put like 200 miles on this tank since the last fill and had a 1/4 left. Would it show up only in the last 1/4?

I'd say you got an injector problem. Hopefully it didn't stick open and dump fuel in the motor and possibly hydrolock it. Happened to my father in laws and it had less miles on it than yours. At least he got a new motor. I wonder if Ford will ever issue a recall. I guess when they start losing enough money on the deal they will.

Yup, was an injector.

Got the truck back and they fixed it right up.

Are injectors problems common on these trucks now?

Wow, I knew your problem 17 minutes after your original post.....glad you got it fixed!

Oh and the reason it didn't feel like a dead misfire is because they stick wide open for some reason and the misfire is really noticeable at idle, but when you get on it, and it uses some of that extra fuel, it becomes less severe.
