bug shield

Just got the newest Moss cat. Looking to get a bug shield and looking for opinions. Should I get the stock one with the F150 painted on it or the one from Weather Tech? Any input thanks.

As long as you have one, it doesn't matter which.

My OEM shield paid for itself this weekend. I took a rock deflection off of it, which sent the rock over the truck instead of my windshield. Nice big gouge in the shield, but my glass is ok!

I just don't like the looks of those things but I need to get one. Getting lots of paint chips on the front of the hhd and had a couple of rocks hit the windshield.

I have a bug deflector. Not sure how much it helps. I even wonder if it has reduced my mpg at highway speeds. I like having it for the bug and rock damage to the hood, but I still get alot of bugs on the windshield.

The Ford OEM low-profile is the best looking shield on the market IMHO. Go for it!

Just installed a Bugflector II on mine yesterday. Took about 45 minutes with help from my wife. It may have gone better if we were taller. The Bugflector cost about $50 from AutoZone. I really don't think they look great but I hope it protects the hood from stones and such.

I took it out on the interstate and "wound it out" to check for vibration or "hood shake" at high speed and there was no problem.
