Casey, thanks for the tips, I just bought a set of the same wheels on ebay for $102. A local company does powdercoating so I will be checking them out before long.

Did you media blast the wheels before coating or did your powdercoater do it for you?

I agree but black and silver/chrome together look good. I have a black truck and just cant get my self to like black on black. I would like to get painted rims.

Check out my gallery for pics of various black wheels that I like. My favorites include wheels by Chip Foose, but, those things are damn pricey!!!

Have you found anywhere to buy the ultra mako (either the black or the chrome) wheels? I've tried looking everywhere and can't seem to find them.

I personally cant stand black rims unless their on a lowered 'street' truck. Then being a guy born and grown in the mountains of Colorado I believe that there is no such thing as a 'street' truck. I call them 'taller cars'.

I really like the motto metal 951's. I think they are the best looking black wheels out there. I'm getting the '17 XLT rims I bought powdercoated black or a dark grey. After seeing casys wheels I couldnt help but want to do it. Black looks good on lifted truck with big tires but I don't really like black wheels on lowerd trucks.

As a matter of fact, I have!

Try these guys:

customwheelsdirect.com

I spoke to them on the phone and they quoted me, what I thought, was a pretty good price with shipping included.

If you get them before I do, be sure to post some pics!

239 a wheel seems like a pretty darn good price for 22s, I don't know how much time I spent looking for somewhere that sold them and I didn't find anywhere. Thank you very much.
