Gears On The Way!

I finally ordered my gears. Motive 4.56's going on a 2004 screw FX4 w/ 33's and daystar kit. I can't wait! I made the mistake of getting the truck with 3.55's as some now, and when pulling anything over 5000 pounds its a no go. Should get good performance gains too. Now all i need is to have them installed along with a new Edge Evolutiuon. Will be installed in early April before fishing gets good in the north east part of Florida, I will tell everyone what i think once they are in.

JOSH

Well alot places had the Motive 8.8 reverse cut on back order so i had to order them from diffrent vendors. The rear is comming from summit and was $220 shipped. The front is comming from accu auto parts in cali and was $190 shipped. $170 and $210 without shipping. Install will be $300 front and $275 rear without parts, and fluids.

Regearing

That doesn't seem to be a bad price at all. I'm in the same setup. 2004 F150, 3.55's, 4x4. I occasionally pull a travel trailer which is about 7,500 fully loaded, very difficult to pull. And this is in Mississippi. M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I. Ever been here? Not exactly like pulling in the mountains (which is flat out painful).

Please keep us posted after the regear.

Screw2004 - was yours a regear? (I assume so as I don't believe anything more than a 4.10 was offered from the factory?). How did it affect mileage?

I do quite a bit of highway driving (already 44k on odometer after just 22 months). I'm trying to decide on either 4.10's or something else.
