I am bidding on some rims and tires on ebay, and they look to measure about 31.9" tall. I have a stock 2wd 05 f150.

Should I worry about fitting stock?

I know many of you like the leveling kit, but does it really not touch your factory ride? I hade a GMC for my last truck, and threw on a 2" (torsion bar keys), and it rode like a go cart. I know, different setup altogether.

Opinions appreciated, and any of you w/ levelled 2wd's would be REALLY appreciated.

I have had the Autospring 2" kit on my 05 for about three weeks. It has not changed the ride in anyway. I am VERY pleased with the end result; ride and appearance.

 

I own a 2.5 kit. The only difference imo is the wind noise on the highway. Ride wise nah its the same. Thats my rig with 33's.

I'm not positive, but I do believe that those tires should fit without having to get a leveling kit.

 

leveling kit will fit 33's you may try those 31.9 without but it would have more room and look better with

 

Much appreciated guys. I won the rims and tires on ebay, so I'll be looking for a 2 or 2.5. I am worried that the 2.5 will make my 275/65's look too small.

BTW, the rims are the 18 inch Lariat wheels, factory chrome with the BFG Rugged Trail 275/65.

A couple more questions-

Poly or metal? I worry about metal making noise.

2 or 2.5 with those 31.9" BFG's?

 

With stock rims and tires you probably don't even need a leveling kit. Even though those tires are for a 4x4 they should fit a 2WD fine. If you're only looking into getting a leveling kit because you're worried about rubbing don't bother. If you're looking for the look though, go ahead and get the 2".

 

Now I'm kind of intrigued by the 2 incher. It is just so cheap!

I'm probably going to order one, I just have to figure out where I can get it installed in my area.

 

The install with alignment is going to run you more than the spacer itself.
