I did not want to advertise the edge on my dash so this is how I did it.
I used a cell phone mount from the lighter at :

IMO I think it would draw less attention on the dash. To somebody that didnt know what it was it would look like a stock part of the dash where as it will really stand out the way you have it unless you plan to take it in and out everytime you leave the truck (and if thats the case I would just install and put the unit up).

 

You don't have an ashtray, so that's a good option. Mine is in the ashtray of my Lariat. Totally stealth.
