You are going to get ALOT of mixed comments on this one. Basically, it comes down to the fact that halogen headlights are not designed to handle such extreme light output, and it will basically "spray" the light everywhere, which will cause you to blind oncoming traffic as well as lose alot of the performance of these bulbs. Sure it will be alot brighter than your stock halogen bulbs, but maybe a bit too bright.

Before you take the dive, I suggest you do ALOT of research to figure out if this is right for you. I researched, and as tempting as it was, I decided not to do it because I really don't want to blind oncoming drivers.

In terms of that specific brand, I have heard blinglights quality is not too good. Alot of these HID conversion kits are coming from Asia, and the quality suffers. Also since these conversion kits have been banned by NHTSA, it is technically illegal to run them and to sell them. And based on this, the company does not have to honor whatever warranty or guarantee they publish for this product.

Its not BEST beam pattern but its good enuff for me anyway.

I doubt Syilivea will ever come out with an HID conversion kit. Hopefully they do though to have a cheap option for everyone. However, it looks like everyone's easiest option is going to be the Saleen F150 HID headlights with a aftermarket wiring harness. Look to spend about $1,200 on that setup. It's the worlds first bi-xeon HID reflectors though!

What??? We have these in most of the new Benz's. It has a cool little shutter that opens and closes to allow high beam or low beam.

Yeah the new Benz's this year with HID reflectors right?

The saleen headlight that is bi-xeon reflector HID came out about a year and a half ago on the concept saleen mustang as a fully functional accessory.

I have Phillips based H13 HID...had it for 4 mos thus far...great. I have 4300k, which is the whitest/brightest unit on the market. I could see everything now....it was like having my Xenarc unit for my prevoius '00 F150. By the way, Sylvania will not be marketing Xenarc system for this model, in fact from inside sources, they lost lot of money over this venture...thus discontinue for previous model year and for 04 models as well.

I will be working on getting a set of the Saleen lights once the truck is officially being produced. I will get rid of the McCulloch's at that point.

I bought the HALO brand HID kit. HALO being the company who makes them. I was dissapointed. The dealer said it would plug directly into the stock wireing harness, it didnt. I lost my highbeams and blinded the hell out of oncoming traffic and little cars in front of me because my truck is also lifted. I just took them off today. Anyone interested in some HALO HID lights? haa.

Not sure if that info is quite right. the aviator and my old 2003 Acura TL had halogen headlights enclosures as well as many others. HID kits and thier sale has not been banned but they are only legal for use in show and off-road at this time.

The newer cars with the projectors do spread the HID light beam much better.

They are banned. DOT issued a seize and dissit (not sure on spelling) on all non OEM HID manufacturing and importing into the US. If I can find the link I'll show you the publication about it.

Duke when was this? I did some looking on the internet and it does indeed mention a April 15th date but its unclear about what specifically is banned.
