I think if it failed and they replaced it under warranty, quit whining. Seriously, everything fails sooner or later, if Ford stood by their warranty, then I applaud them. There are people in a lot worse position than you.

Plus you did not give any details about driving habits or what if anything you are towing. Don't just blurb about something failing.

Come on guys, give him a break. I think these trannys aren't as good as they could be and have heard of many that have gone bad under warranty. Driving habits or not they shouldn't be failing so quickly. It's not like he's doing tractor pulls or something.

In comparison to the other two domestics, Fords are really not above the norm for tranny failures. Anything that is mass-produced has more inherent problems. Don't think I am being hard on the guy, but when someone just says "It Broke" without any background info, I am not going to jump on their wagon so quickly.

Ford has never been known for their great trannies. Hope mine goes longer than that.

There's a lot of stuff going on in an automatic transmission. Sometimes, stuff happens. Uncle Henry's footing the bill, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I had just 4K on my 04 F150 when I needed a new tranny. unfortunately I'm on my 3rd tranny now in a Mountaineer I got after that truck with now just 43K on it. IMO Ford doesn't have great trannys at all, but at least most are under warranty still.

The trany on my last truck went 96k before having trouble and it started having problems but still driveable and I was hard on it with my driving habits and lack of maintance. Ford builds some strong tranies if you ask me.

My grandfather bought a chevy brand new with less than 20 miles on it, was driving it home on the highway. Traveled about 45 miles was almost home and the transmission locked up. Pieces and parts on the highway, cats living with dogs, etc. He left it on the side of the road, told the dealership to come and get it. Chevy bought the truck from him instead of warrenty work. He still went and bought another chevy though
