I almost died laughing when I read that. Powerful? Not hardly, at least not without a reflash or two. Mine is JUST NOW starting to feel as fast as 300hp should, at 9700 miles. I do LOVE these trucks though. Get the Lariat, you wont be sorry.

Both are great trucks, I chose the Fx4 mainly because of the skid plates,Limited Slip Axles, and plus I like the 18inch rims on the Fx4 compared to the ones on the Lariat plus when I was shopping around they were so close in price it was just get which one suites you the best.

Whats wrong with it? Why does it only have 3,400 miles??? sounds like a good deal otherwise...

I ended up choosing the FX4 over the Lariat. The FX4 just looks better. And, in my case, the FX4 I had the dealership ship in is nearly as luxurious as the Lariat.

I really didn't notice any difference between the two on the road. Both road smooth as silk on the highway, and I felt every bump in the city. Neither truck is easy to park. I don't need a lot of electronic gadgets to drive around town every day... So, I went with the better looking truck.

I do have buyer's remorse (or envy). Monday I got my oil changed at the dealer and they parked my blue SCrew FX4 next to a chrome covered Harley Davidson F-250 blue SCrew in front of the show room. A lot of prospective truck buyers were checking out our Big and Bigger 4X4 trucks out. That F-250 was sweet.

Both trucks are nice. If you get them both loaded you cant really see a diffrence in the two. I just liked the looks of the fx4 better, plus I did not like the woodgrain dash. I dont regret getting the fx4 over a lariet.

I'm partial to the FX4, mostly because I prefer a fake carbon fiber interior to a fake woodgrain interior.

In all seriousness, they are both great trucks. As far as ride quality is concerned, I've never found my FX4's ride to be very harsh at all. Just be sure to test drive both models to see which you like best.

Good luck!

I started with a loaded 04 FX4 scab, traded for an 05 loaded Lariat screw, now traded back to another loaded 06 FX4 scab. All GREAT trucks, just personally like the FX4's and scab body style better.

Lariat....loaded with all the extras....cant be beat.....well there is that King Ranch that I drool over....

Both are good...but making a Lariat perform like an FX4 is a lot easier than the other way around.
