Hey, I need to know where you got that box thing that you have your R cam mounted in. I have a custom liscence plate comming and I have to get rid of the camera in the plate and I want to move it down to the right of my hitch like yours. Any info =

Its just a metal electrical outlet box from Lowes. I painted it black and cut a hole in it for the camera. I drilled four holes into the hitch and I mounted it actually to the hitch itself. Its a pretty simple mod and looks really clean when finished!

Hey Matt

I have a Pioneer B/U camera
This was the old spot. Its now moved over to the other side of the trailor hitch connector.

Sorry I don't have a more recent pic, but once I get all the salt off the truck I'll get one.

smokestoneF150/Hey Matt:

Can you guys see the trailer ball (ball mounted on a ball-mount in the receiver, not the bumper mount) with the camera in the plate? I was thinking the "in the plate" location was ideal for backing right up the trailer coupling? How about the mount in the black trim to the side of the plate, can you put the ball right under the coupler?

Matt: does that camera power up and focus instantly or should I leave it on all the time since i don't want to have to wait 10 sec after throwing it in reverse before I can tell whats behind me.

I'm thinking of piecing together a system w/ that identical night-vision camera and since I don't have a stereo w/ display I'm going to add a 5" - 7" display in the drivers visor, ideally mounted in the visor, possibly a clip on. Any suggestions on minimum screen features before I invest in this? The only thing the screen will be used for obviously is the backup camera.

Mmmmmm a personalized plate, very interesting. I have supported the NC Dept of Motor Vehicles so much over the years with all the personal tags I have bought. Pheew! With this truck I just went with the NASCAR tag since it had just come out last summer. I was issued a low number (double digit). I was on it like Tony Stewart on a piece of cake.
I think I am going to get a Hurricanes tag when I renew the BMW in a couple months though. I will have my 2 fav sports covered then.

What are you thinking about getting home skillet?
