Very nice truck. I actually like those new 20's! I think they fit very well and match the size of the rest of the truck better. Good thing you got a 4x4 if you are expecting snow. So far I am impressed with how well mine did in the snow, not that it was that deep, but I had PLENTY of traction to go.

And to spotbearsd: I'd like to know what kind of problems you had out of your benz. I will probably be the first to tell you that the E-class is the biggest problem car we have had in a long time. Always seems to have radio problems and other computer programming related issues. Did you get that BIG flat black antenna that is like 2 inches tall? That thing is horrible looking! There are 2 other options that they SHOULD have told you about. You can get a MUCH smaller antenna that is painted to match your body, and is very slim, only like 1/2 inch high and works the same. OR we offer to hide the antenna for an additional hour labor, usually in the hatshelf on an E-class and under the wiper cowling on an SL. But that big huge one we never use anymore, that thing is god awful!

Anyone heard of this?? I admit I didn't search on it...does the clearcoat need to cure for that long??

Just got back from a drive around town, and I think I'm starting to really like the Sirius radio...news, sports, music, and I can practice my Spanish..

As far as waxing new paint, mine was born on April of 05, I got it in mid July and didnt wax it until around mid sept or so. So I guess I waited around 5 months or so after it was painted. But I imagine 3 months would be plenty long enough for the paint to harded. Also, I didnt use an abrasive cleaner wax, I use NXT which is very easy to get on/off.

To answer your question Matt:
New 2006 E350- Drove home that night and noticed a klunking over some speed bumps in my complex. Next day took it in to find it needed a whole new steering rack. A week later I got it back only to have the computer tell me to visit workstation- brake issue and also the cars computer telling me to close the sunroof when I was driving. MBZ bought this one back, but not w/o throwing a huge fit infront of the stores big wigs. Then I purchased another one that same day....
New 2005 E500- After 2 days, needed new rear brake bearings and a software upgrade for the transmission. Transmission still never downshifted correctly. After a few more visits and numerous techs in the car, I finally had to call the store owner and complain. The dealership itself bought the car back and basically told me to go away.

Regarding the antenna: Yes, I was aware of my options for antennas and its placement (I'd installed XM in a few vehicles already by then). That only added to how pissed off I was that I had been given no heads up that the standard antenna was so horrible. The dealership just drilled the trunk and said "There ya go!". When they pulled the car around out of service, a stranger asked me, "What the hell is that?".

"I would never consider another Mercedes Benz again"
