38" tire questions

If i put 38" tires on my FX4, I was curious if the stock brake system would be alright. i have seen tons of the new 150s with 37" tires + with stock brakes, so i'm just verifying. The next question is, i'm running stock gears, I would eventually re gear, but in the mean time would it pose any problem except being sluggish? My truck has dual exhaust (flowmaster), K&N FIPK air intake, and the edge programmer in case anyone wanted to know.

Readon being is i'm going to add more lift next week and I have nito mud grappler 38x15.50x18s on the way. Any help is appreciated!!!

Get new brakes and to my knowledge it probly wont pose any problems to the gears.....but theres this voice in the back of my head saying that it might. Just regear to 4.56 and you'll be ok.

Here is something to think about:

When you get larger tires with stock gearing you are changing the overall drive ratio. Your brakes WILL go fast because you will no longer have the engine braking you used to have.

yeah you definitely need to throw it up a good 3-5 inches and slap some 38's on there. Do you think you would lose all practicality if you had those huge tires on there? I hate to like snap the front suspension off-roading...?

Where did you order them from, I am very interested as everywhere I've looked has them out of stock, they're on national backorder now. Even if you add a 3" bodylift you will still rub @ max flex from what I've heard. Your truck looks pretty slick. Get back to me soon, I am waiting on the Mud Grapplers to come off backorder so I can install my lift that is sitting next to me.
