Im mad....sorta

Ive been wanting a 150 of my own, the white one in my gallery is my dads so ya. Any ways my dad finnaly said yes to getting me a new body style 150, so i asked for 2004-2005 4x4 lariat quad cab...but it turns out not many people have a used 4x4 lariat quad cab around these parts. So now im forced to buy a 2wd, wich blows.

So now im wondering if i can just later on buy a 4x4 transmision and get a ford technician to install it. Dose any one know that website for the ford parts, thanks. Would a ford techniciation really install it? If no one can find this site where else could i get a 4x4 transmision for our trucks? How much do you think these would run? Thanks

It'd be easier just to hold out for a 4x4. Unless you want a lot of headaches and heartaches, the number one rule is do not re-engineer the vehicle.

I cant get ahold of a 4x4, thast the problem. We are moving out of these apartments into a house(finnaly) and if i wanted to get a truck it has 2 be now or never so thats why im forced to get a 2wd. But the man inside me says i need a 4wd and eventually im gonna wanna take my baby out and play, shes a truck remeber lol. A new truck is out of the question, too much money. Thats why we cant find a 4x4

whos going to pay for it? If its you, get what ever you want to have. But if your parents are paying for your truck, then you really don't have much say so in it since there buying it for u?

try to get a 4x4 though even if you buy it or talk your parents into a 4x4

If your pops is already going to blow 25+K on you for a truck, I'd do some shopping around at dealerships north of you. You'll be able to find a 4X4 somewhere out there, and you can either fly up to get it, or have it shipped. I doubt you will find many folks willing to turn a 2wd into a 4wd, and the cost wouldn't be worth it.

Well me and my dad have asked dealerships all around here, we've looked at carmax down here and all that junk. Used lots and all teh jazz and still no turn up, the only thing we found was a used lariat 2wd with 20 thousand miles. But it has some dings

You should look at the differences between the Lariat and the FX4....They're not all that different. Other than the message center, gauges and some fake wood on the dash...I'm sure there's a few more things but just look at them both and then make a deision. Look in my gallery, I have some pretty decent pictures of my interior. And I agree with the rest of the group..DO NOT get a 2WD and try to make it a 4WD...just not worth the money.

If 33004 is a Broward County zip code I found you 35 4x4 SuperCrews. You can figure out which ones are Lariats.

FX4's are cooler than Lariat's...don't let those pansy-asses tell you otherwise! Try to find a yellow one...hard to find but the coolest color!
