PLEASE HELP !! Anybody ??

I got the AS 2.5" front lift on my 05 4x4Screw and now ready for tires and rims. I have decided to go with the 315/70/17 BFG All-terrains. Now I need to know what is the best rim size and back spacing so as not to have any rubbing issues ? The tire store will work with me and order a few different style of rims for test fit over the brake calipers, but I swear you folks know more than they do.

I have found a few different rims that I like, most are 17x9 or 17x8 with 5" and 4.5 inch backspacing respectively. Would like to keep them from hanging too far outside the wheel wells if at all possible.

Please! Anybody with experience in this please help. It's too dang expensive to just guess.

Thank you in advance

The best back spacing is going to be 5.5 like stock.

yeah anything over 33 inches will need to be on stock wheels or as close to stock as you can find to keep from rubbing

I just ordered Motto Metal 951 17x9's and 305/70R17 Goodyear MTR's (34 inches) so I can let you know about them scrubbing if the do

Thanks for the info and I realize the stock rims are 7.5" with 5.5" backspace. If I go with a wider rim, say 8.5 or 9, do I still stay with the 5.5 backspace or is 4.5 or 5.0 backspace close enough ?

Yes by all means let me know how it works out. That setup should look sick ! I just don't get off the pavement enough for MTs but I really like the look. What backspace are your Mottos ?
