Tranny cooler, stock or aftermarket?

I'm curious if somebody here knows if a tranny cooler comes stock on the trailer towing package on an FX4? If not, where can I get one?

I plan to install a tranny temp gauge and tranny cooler since I'll be towing a trailer 3600 miles to Alaska. I'll have a few extra ponies under the hood thanks to Whipple and don't want to risk damaging the tranny by overheating and burning the fluid.

I'm pretty sure it comes stock with the trailer tow package.

If you plan to do this on a regular basis i suggest getting a tuner (real person) to tune the transmission to keep locked at certain throttle positions so it doesn't lock and unlock when it is unnecessary.

Just crawl under the truck to verify. Trace your transmission lines and see if they lead to the cooler. If you have the tranny cooler, which I'm sure you do, it is about 20" long and 6" high, located just behind the grill. This would be in front of the a/c condenser. Not to be confused with the power steering cooler, which is located underneath your truck by the front cross member.
