Battery covered under warranty

Just curious if a battery was covered or not, I 've got an 04 Screw with 29,000 miles on it. It's gone dead 3 times in the last month. I have nothing hooked up inside the truck as far amps or anything that could drain the battery down. thanks

Might be a current draw in the system that is draining the battery, something that should be looked at. I do this stuff all the time at work, just hook an amp meter inline of the battery cable and lock it and let the truck go to "sleep" for 15-30 minutes and monitor the draw. Should be less than 70mA under normal circumstances, probably even less. If there is no excessive draw, then more than likely you have a bad battery. And IDK about Ford but we cover all of that under the factory warranty.

Batteries are covered under 3/36. Max allowable drain in these trucks should be about 50-60 mA after all the modules have powered down, which can take up to an hour. 80-100 mA is okay in something with a lot of modules, like an LS, Town Car or a Navigator, but that's a tad high for a relatively simple F150.
