Who makes Ford step-bars?

Does anyone know what manufacturer makes Ford's factory step-bars? I would like to have a set, but I don't want to pay factory price.I like them because they seem like the sturdiest kind out there and I'm a big boy. Also, does anyone have the smitty-built predator step-bars? If so, I would like to see a pic. and know how you like them.

I think they are made by Dee Zee. They have some nice looking oval step bars that are similar to stock.

I'm willing to bet that Ford makes Ford factory step bars, or outsources their manufaturing to a company that only sells to Ford or other auto manufacturers.

Go to the Dee Zee step bar page and see what you think. Look at their 5" oval bars. Kinda looks alot like the Ford ones to me.

Dee-Zee makes just about all of 'em for Ford, and Decoma makes the black platform running boards.

Wow 379.00 sounds cheap to me. When I bought my 04 I paid like 450.00 for the 5 inch ovals. Either the price has went down or I got screwed.

DEE ZEE is the official vendor for the factory running boards. Just FYI American Racing makes ALL of fords wheels for them. American Racing was just bought out by another unknown company, but im sure the quality in wheels will remain good.
