I did mine for under $200 last summer.

I got a 7" LCD monitor, with 2 a/v inputs and remote, that I put in place of the mirror in the visor. Drilled out the viser so the cable would run out the end with the pivot arm and down the A-pillar.

Now embedding the monitor in the visor was a slight challenge which required a dremel to modify the fit some, which also flung some hot plastic around.

Interesting...
Do you have some links or names to check out those gadgets?

Most in-dash units have an video input for a back-up camera and a camera view trigger wire. If yous does its as simple as plugging in the RCA Video input and hooking up the trigger wire. The trigger wire lets your HU know when the truck is in reverse so it will switch over to the camera view. I have my trigger wire hooked up to the back up lights...as soon as power goes to them the DVD player switches to the camera view.
To hook up the camera itself there is only a power wire and ground wire. I have the power wire running off the back up light power as well. Some other have theirs wired up where they can switch to camera view manualy while going doing the road...this is a fairly simple hook up as well (I just don't need it so I didn't do it that way.)
If you get a camera and have any questions I will be happy to help out, but its actually a very simple install.

Those are nice, I saw them at my stereo shop, but for the price, i added some more and also got the dvd player I wanted. Got a kenwood double din 7015 brand new for $525 shipped. He has 12 more if anyone wants one. They usually go for about 700 new.

Killer deal! They WERE like $1200 last year. I got mine for $860 back then. You will LOVE it. I got my reverse power from the right taillight since the camera is back there anyway and it would be less wires to run from the front, but it does run along under the right sill panel. It is either a black wire with a pink stripe or the other way around.....I can't remember. It should be 12+ when in reverse so it shouldn't be hard to find. Oh, and mount that unit yourself and SAVE. It is super easy I think. Get this wiring harness adapter, get this mounting bracket, and if you do speakers.....get these speaker adapters, and everything is plug and play, and no cutting or messing with the factory harness! Most all of that can be had from circuit city or best buy's car sterio installation departments. Good luck!

I spoke too soon. Ebay sent me an email saying they suspended the sellers account. So it must have been a fraud. Oh well, good thing I paid by credit card, they are refunding the money.
I have bought millions of things from ebay and this is the first time this happend. Deal too good to be true, then it is not true

IDK, that sounds about right for the last years model. I have seen the DDX-7017, this year's model, for about $650. Search "leathercraft" as the seller, I think he has a few of either one.

EDIT: HE HAS ONE LEFT!!!! 43 minutes remaining. 7015 for $658 if you want it!

I'm in the final stages of a camera / monitor install.

Mounted the camera in the tailgate handle, got a Pyle monitor. Remove the mirror from the drivers visor, removed the monitor from the factory case, and made a custom mount for the mirror "hole". Got the control switches mounted last night and am doing the final mounting this weekend if I can find time between the "honey do" projects.

Will load a full set of pics to my gallery when I'm done. Came out real nice if I do say so myself.

I'm looking to do a visor display and a backup cam, any and all pics from anyone who has done it here are appreciated!
