Lifted... but I don't like it

I have just lifted the truck on a company here in my local area.
They used some of their own, they make them.

The quality here is no issue...
The issue is the height.

I wanted to lift the front but not too much, the maximum I was able to allow was to be even with the rear.

So I went there and they told me that it was going to be even..., so I tought(damn.. is too much, but acceptable). I told them that I wanted no more than the same height on the rear OR otherwize lower was fine.(even or lower was fine).
So they finished and ther you go, what I was afraid of.

Is 0.5'' taller on the front.

They told me it was going to adjust itself to be even once I use it.

So now I'm here at the office thinking about taking it back to how it was or just leave it like that.
I know that I'm the only one who knows what's up with the truck, but that doesn't matter because people just see the truck and they see the whole thing and decide if it looks good or ugly, don't know why exactly(just me) but they do at the end, so, 1'' or what ever it really makes a difference.

Is it true that is going to lower itself a little bit at least?

Thanks

Giorgio

I agree; adding a leaf would be easiest in AJ's opinion.

Mine did settle a little bit after driving. Make sure they alligned after they installed the lift, if not the front could be a little higher.

Give it some time. It will adjust a little. Within 2,000 miles you will probably be level.

I have no advice but I've always wondered why people dont like the stock look.

Now I love a raised truck but I like the slightly raised rear too...

Never figured why people dont like the uneven look

Good luck wiht your lift though

Well.., yes, but is the height in general too, with that, it will be way too tall for my taste.

At this moment it just looks kind of nasty, rude or some kind of jeep style. Not the classy tough I want.

Thanks

Giorgio

Mine really didn't "settle" with a 2" Autospring which actually raised it so the rear is about 1" higher than the front. Did they align you truck? That may bring it down. Otherwise I would ask them if they would re-do it if it dosen't settle.

Have any pics with the kit installed?

It still needs the alignment.., does that lower a bit?

In your mods you say you used a 2''..., hmm.. the piece of metal I saw they use was like 2'' thick.. hmm..,
I might as well request a refund and pay them the HandWork and return it as before.., then I buy some 1.5'' and use that ones.
Damn it.. what to do. what to do..
And I have a lot of work and little time.

Thanks

Giorgio

That should had been your hint to go elsewhere. Where did you get it done? Homemade VS. computer engineered spacers?? Thats a no brainer Tell them to take them off, you are not happy at all. I have Daystar's 2.5 and my truck sits LEVEL...I hope you are able to get it fixed

mine is a 2" kit but I think it is only a 1.5" spacer. I got it off abay for around 100$. It was very well made. Aligning it should help if the tires are toed in it sits on the edge of the tires instead of sitting on the whole tire evenly. If your not happy I would definitly have them take it off. I done mine mysel, only took abut 1.5 hours pretty easy if you have the right tools.

That's what I did. The 2.5" Autospring made my truck slightly higher in the front, so I bought the Pro-Comp Add-A-Leaf and installed it myself. While I don't recommend anyone doing this himself, since I had to remove the exhaust and gas tank to do it, it was definitely worth the $92. It raised the back about 2" and made my truck look so much better...at least to me. I hate the "higher in the front" look so bad. It reminds me of a ghetto car "rollin' deep"!

The 2" Auto Spring spacer measures 1-5/8" thick, actually raised my truck about 2-1/4", so a 1-1/2" spacer should give you about 2".

I went to an alignment service company and they told me that it won't lower anything.

So, tomorrow morning I'll go back to restore everything.
I just hope they don't get difficult to get my check back, as the "who is right" in this case is very easy for them to take advantage, but I have everything figured out already.
I'm willing to pay for the man-hour tough.

I should it go today but didn't have the time(I still don't and will not, but oh well).

Salutes

Giorgio
