Stubby Antenna

Has anyone had any problems with these?http://store.yahoo.com/autoaccesscon...opstststc.html

I just ordered the 21 incher. Seems the one-fiddy is getting a little too big for its stall and the overhead door is paying the price with the stock antenna...FLING.

What's even worse is when my significant other said, "I just noticed that a section of paint is missing at the bottom of the garage door." Uh, mmm, yeah, that would be my antenna. "Well fix it you lazy #$&^%#!" Hence, the post.

I just cut mine down. Pulled the ball end off the top of the cut piece and glued it onto the cut end. Its been on there for a year with no rust or other problems.

I bought a pretty cool 6" black powder coated one from eBay a long time ago and have had it on 2 different trucks. It works perfectly and looks pretty sweet too. It's been so long since I bought it that I don't know which seller I got it from, but I'm sure you could still probably find one. I think he had a bunch of different colors and sizes too.

Ditto. Absolutely NO change in reception and you'd NEVER know I did it... my garage door sure does though.

Shorty

I replaced my ariel with an 18". The reception for the normal stations remain the same. With the weaker stations I noticed in certain geographical areas the reception was lost approx 10-20%. But no matter, my garage door appreciates the change.
