Arizona Beige Owners

I went to purchase a bottle of touch-up paint and told the parts guy at the dealer that I had a 2005 arizona beige f150. He told me he would not be able to find my paint code that way and I would need to read it off the door of my truck. I found that my paint code was AQ but the parts guy gave me the impression there were different arizona beige paint codes for the 2004-2006 f150's. Is this true? If I were to purchase an arizona beige part from a salvage yard, will it match? Does anyone here have one other than AQ? Thanks

Try a different dealer, or a different service guy. I went into my dealer and told the service dept the same thing (two tone with AZ beige bottom). He put in the order and I have a bottle of Motorcraft "AQ" touch up paint. Matches perfect.

Yeah I eventually got the paint by giving the guy my paint code after I read it off the door. I just wondered if there were different arizona beige shades and why.

Paint guys always want the code. Sometimes a MFG will have the same name for slightly different colors in different years. The code just takes all the guess work out.

AQ is AQ is Arizona Beige is AQ.

Unfortunately, your parts guy missed the boat on this one; albeit an honest mistake probably -- they're typically more than willing to sell you ANYTHING! (ie: A hood for a 1989 Tempo when you're there to inquire about a wheel for a 2003 Explorer -- I could go on).

I've touched a VERY tiny chip on my front bumper on the AZ Beige half -- I utilized the bottle of AQ that I had purchased long ago for my 01' King Ranch. Matched perfectly -- and it's over 3 years old (the t - up paint).
