As soon as I saw that Banks was making exhuast for our gas powered rigs I was ready for it. Then I saw there was no duals. Maybe hopefully they will make them soon, if not I'll get my hookup on the Magnaflow.

I run Level 3 all the time with no issues so far....you just have to use the appropriate octane fuel of course. The good thing about it is the increase in MPG more than make up for the additional cost of premium fuel!

I have had Borla cat-backs on my last 2 trucks and IMO this system is as nice in quality if not better. The entire system seems very well made with no corners cut. The sound is great...very light and low rumble at idle and a very mild mellow tone under acceleration with zero resonence at cruise speed! Infact if you don't listen for it you wouldnt know its there going down the road...even pulling a trailer. However if you want a loud exhaust sytem this one is not for you, but thats not what I wanted so I am very pleased! I won't comment on power gains yet since I am waiting to put my Edge programmer back in (I let me dad borrow it for the week) and do some 0-60 runs and some real seat of the pants dyno pulls before I say how much power it makes. I do know though that for some reason the Airaid doesn't seem to drone as much since I had the exhaust done.
BTW before someone has to ask...I paid $435 shipped for it off Ebay and it cost me $45 to have it put on.

Looks like a quality product.

Two things I did notice is my muffler looks shorter & I don't have any of the stampings on my system. Mine is one of the 1st ones manufactured. I think I had less than 2k on the truck before I installed it (July of 04).

Anywho, Grats on the system I'm sure you'll love it.
How is the in cab sound?

It even has the same kind of sound a hopped up diesel truck has (less the turbo wine).

As for the questions....1) I can honestly say I can't see how this system would be any more restrictive than an open pipe at the end of the cat. The pipes are huge and the muffler is a straight through shot. Honestly I don't see how its not louder than what it is.
2) The single out option was purely a cosmetic one on my part. I can't see how a dual 2.5 system would flow any better than this one...or flow any less. You still have the 2.5 conecting pipe between the cat and the muffler so in either case that will be the restricting point.
They are also known for Motorhome systems as well. I had a full Banks System installed on my Motorhome (460 c.i.), included headers, muffler and of course their signature 5" tail piece. Man what a difference in performance, its quiet on idle, but when excellerating (especially hard) sounds deep and throaty with absolutly no resonance inside.

That sounds great, I might not go with Magnaflow now. Thanks.

We sell Banks products at our shop and when it comes to performance they know their stuff. As far as dual exhaust they arent to big on that and here is why (this doesn't apply to diesels) on Class A & C motorhomes some of them come with true dual exhaust from factory I know for a fact Workhorse (Chevrolet) & Ford class A motorhomes come with truel duals, now when you order a powerpack system from them for a motorhome they do away with the dual exhaust setup and here is why, they figure that their exhaust system outflows the factory setup and is alot larger and the dual setup isnt required. I know you are thinking well why not have the Banks system with dual outlets well for one they recommend having the exhaust exit where there isnt a slide out, besides it sounds way cooler. Now for diesels they just came out with monster duals which is cool diesels consume more air and make a whole lot of more power than a gas engine the last thing they need is back pressure. FYI guys with diesel truck sure have alot more fun than us and dont have to spend as much to an extra 230HP + - . As for exhaust I hate the played out Flowmaster mufflers I am partial to Bassani had the Lightning look alike exhaust on my 2001 4X4 F150 Screw it was sweet. My new and current truck has the Roush off road dual rear exit exhaust and man is it sweet I havent checked for princing but its really sweet the muffler is about 12" long. just my .2
