Dad Got Good Gas Mileage -- And I Don't Know How to Properly Title a Thread!

I was getting 12.1 mpg in my truck.. My dad takes it on a buisness trip from montgomery to anniston and then to huntsville.. he has it to days and he gets 15.96! that's awesome! not that good but better but it's all because he was on cruise on the interestate! but at least i know my trucks capable of getting good gas mileage!

Yep, quit flooring it to hear the exhaust and it will gain a mpg or two.

well my daily driving is very short, very hard driven trips. the miles dont add up fast at all on my truck, but its gets a beating, so im content with 12, but on the highway its all cruising, and the efans really helped a lot with highway mpg, but i did change my gears to 3.73s, so i dont know how that will affect my mileage. i have some planned road trips coming up, we will find out

was your 16 mpg all highway driving? thats pretty low, i think i got just shy of 20 almost stock on the highway. it also depends, 65 mph on the highway would be good, but 90 mph on the highway eats the gas. maybe a reset of the PCM would help?
