Edge question

I couldn't find it in a search. I know the Edge monitors temps so does this mean that you have to install thermometers like on diesel trucks or does it read it straight off the computer? Thanks!

The install takes about 5 minutes, literally.

Awesome! Anyone notice any mpg increases with the Edge? Does it pay for having to spend the extra cash on premium gas?

I gained a mile or two per gallon, it's hard to compare before and after. I can't seem to take it easy anymore.

I also gained about 1.5 - 2 mpg on 87 octane towing tune. Haven't really tried the performance tune...but not expecting any mpg improvement there.

One thing I do not understand about what I have read. If my truck is already running lean, how does it improve my gas mileage?

Thanks guys! Another question is can you get your speedometer to be correct after getting bigger tires with the Edge? Keep the mpg coming as well! I'm starting to grow fond of the Edge!

So if you guys had a little money to spend, would you buy

A. Edge
B. XCal2 or other programmer
C. Grille and some other cosmetic mod
D. Keep saving and buy wheels later

I'm torn between the stock wheels with beefier tires or aftermarket. I love my FX4 wheels and kinda like the stock look so I don't know. Opinions please!

A. Edge. I wouild buy the edge hands down. More functionality and the drivability is awesome.
B. xCal2. For me the increase of hp to difference in cost between the edge is not enough to justify this for me. Especially since I don't have any bolt ons nor do I have a supercharger.
c. Grill. I'm happy with my stock grill for now. No real functionality
d. Wheels - naw. Not a big aftermarket rim fan. Just something else for dogs to pee on.

Just to repeat what was already said....you don't have to install any sensors...they are already there and will automatically work once you plug the Edge in. I don't have any MPG yet since I'm still using my XCAL2 tunes right now. I wanted to test my 0-60 and 1/4 mile times with the XCAL before I switched to the Edge tunes, but the weather here has been changing so much that it would be hard to get similar testing conditions.
