I just spoke to them today and they said they are filling back orders first and they would not have any for a couple of weeks..
That's why I ordered at the website and paid a few dollars more. Thanks for the info

I called and talked to Larry at discountpowerparts and he informed me he had 40some odd units with him and 60some odd more available. He also said if you email him at sales@truckpulls.com he will ship for free(saving of $10). I just ordered mine for $359 to my door, shipped out tomorrow.

He seems like a pretty honest guy, cant wait to get mine.

1st email:

Dave,

The EEF2400 is backordered until Thursday of this week (3 more days). Depending upon what time they come in, we will be shipping Thursday or Friday. Will keep you posted if we have any delays.

Thank you for shopping at TruckRacingParts.com,

Dean

2nd Email:

To all EEF2400 Customers,

We have received word that our order has shipped. We should receive it tomorrow. However, our shipments usually arrive after 4PM; so we will be shipping out all orders on Thursday as long as there are no hitches. If our order arrives Thurs we will ship Friday (I don't see it being any later than that).

Once again, we thank all of you for your patience and we thank you for shopping at TruckRacingParts.com,

Dean

Are you guys just not caring about your warranty or are there ways of being sneaky with having a programmer and hiding it from the dealer?

Do a search, this topic has been discussed many times before.

Basically, as long as you reload your stock tune back in the computer before you take it to the dealer they cant tell. You should disconnect your battery to reset the KAM and reset the computer, then drive for a couple days to create run cycles. If they ask tell them you disconnected your battery to work on your stereo, etc.

i heard there are ways of being sneeky. like programming the truck back to stock and disconecting the battery so they wont be able to detect any changes to the PCM.

The only thing sneaky is Ford screwing people out of a warranty any chance they can get, this is only a way to protect yourself.

It has been mentioned before that our trucks run LEAN from the factory. Yes I believe we ALL care about our warranty but.

1. The TRUE potential of the truck is not taken advantage of without a tuner. As the truck has been mentioned by many to be under-powered under load.

2. Return to stock program as the instructions say and there is nothing left in the computer to tell the techs anything has been different after the drive cycles have been completed.(Not that the techs would look at your PCM anyways. Most dealers I go to barely even want to cover warranty work I doubt many will go "The extra Mile" without a fee)

3. I took my truck to the dealer and they could not recalibrate for 33 inch tires(They did not know how) and they did not want to adress the TSB regarding delayed throttle response on my truck.

So sometimes you can take your matters into your own hands and recalibrate for tires, improved shifting and diagnose, clear and check trouble codes it even has temperature gauges(if anything else). It is an extremely handy tuner. I don't think or feel that I am taking advantage of them,. I paid for and extended warranty to 60,000 miles at 2500 dollars. I would like better shifting from my tranny when I tow my other vehicles. I don't agree with tuning to THE LIMITS of our vehicles but any small improvement would be welcome and MAY improve gas mileage, response and capability of our trucks. That's all. You do have people who take advantage of dealers and insurance and of a situation and that in turn raises prices for everyone. The way I see it is If tuners were that bad, there would be many law suits, severely expensive and many, many negative threads. So I think it is a matter of opinion and money. Not really a warranty issue UNLESS they can prove that the tuner caused the problem.

The bad thing about all of this, is the dealers. Most are pretty good and could care less if you use a turner. I've had the techs here talk about having to take out chips in the past, and put it back stock. Most of the time if they are confident the chip did not damage the pcm, they just reload and kick it out the door. At the most you get charged a fee for troubleshooting. But, some dealers for some unknown reason, see it in a different light. I guess it's just a chance you take. If I have to fork out $1000.00 for a pcm, oh well. But you can bet this will be the last vehicle I buy from this dealer.

Quick question with the Edge, do you need the computer code off your truck or is this just plug and play. Also is this something you plug in and set a tune and unplug and put away. I see some people mounting it in there dash.
