04-05 Foglights vs 06 Fogs!

The first new design had the rectangular fogs which I really Like, They project a nearly horizontal line . Overall theyer great!

The new design is of circular shape and Ive never seen them nor how they project the light.

I was concidering buying the 06 bumper w/fogs but wanted to ask some questions to the guys with experieance with the 06 fogs.

1.How do they compare?
a. Light pattern?
b. what bulb?
c.flat beams(horizontal) or not?
2. What do yall like better? or is overal best performing?

thanks!

I like the round one's better, match better with my HD lights. I could not tell any difference in light output. I'm running HID's on the headlights and yellow xenon in the fogs.

Before

After

However, on my truck w/all the chrome I think the rectangular ones are WAY better. My neighbor has a truck w/out any fogs, eww! WAY too much chrome.

+ the rectangles look more manly
THANKS I agree with you, the rectangular ones do look better on a chrome bumper. To be honest both styles look good. It's just I think the round ones look better with my setup

hey don't be haten the round fog lights! actually they don't put out a whole lot of light by themselves...i always drive with regular and fog lights on...I usually drive with the parking lights and fog lights on during the day just for the look...

I remember my 99' F-150 Lariat had some bright fog lights...I could drive with just those on and still see decent...can't do that with this new truck...but who cares right?

I could use my fogs only a night and be ok with its output. I have 9005 silverstars in them and wow,....bright! Where can I get yellow zenons and do they improve visability in nighttime/inclament weather versus my 9005 SS

thanks!

Round lights = driving lights. Rectangular lights = fog lights. I like the rectangular lights better. All the fog ights that I have had on my vehicles have been rectangular, come to think of it.

Rectangle ones look better to me...

Ford said when the designed the new F-150 that they wanted to give it a more "Grounded" look...instead of the bubbly, rounded look that was a mistake with their previous body style..previous style just didn't look MEAN enough.....

When my lights are on my fog lights are on too.. not sure why anyone would want to drive with their lights on but not their fog lights, unless it's illegal in your state

Cause you look like an IDIOT
FOG - droplets of water vapor suspended in the air near the ground.

Now i can understand if you have driving lights, because you would be "driving" and they would be lights.
