So what ya being offered?

With all of the Friends and Family price plans and other incentives offered as of late. As well as seeing a local dealer advertising a new 06 Mark LT truck at $12,000 discounts this last weekend in the paper. It just got me thinking, and now curious.
Curious, I know there are a few of you that feel the need for a new truck fairly often and trade in your current truck in the process. For those of you that have, I'm just curious as to what you have been offered or allowed on your 04, 05 model year trades. What was the trade differences? Made sure you give the year and a little description of what you traded in (there are way too many models and styles of the F-150 for us to assume what you had). And what did you replace your old F-150 with.

I was offered $22k at a Nissan dealership with 55,000 miles, it's a 2004 F150 Lariat 4x4, black on black, Sunroof and power sliding rear window. Not too shabby!

A couple of weekends ago when I went with my mom to look at some navigators we took my truck I ended up looking at a red supercrew lariat and they said they would give me 23K for mine with 24K miles on it. Not really waht I wanted to hear but I was just looking while my mom was shopping. They said they would only give me 23K if I took the mods off and returned it to stock. The only thing I like about the lariat was the heated seats and I can live without that. I wish my mom would have gotten the navigator but she's so damn picky and she doesnt like the friggin interior(she's a chevy woman).

When have I lied on here? I can't stand liar's and I'm not one myself. You either got an incredibly crappy trade-in quote or there is a significant difference in values of our trucks, or more importantly, our areas. Even our sales tax is different even though we're not too far from one another. I had my best experience at this dealership, it's the Nissan Dealership next to the Tracy mall. They honestly are the kindest dealers I've dealt with, I've been back there since that visit. I test drove a fully loaded Titan, had everything, including a drop down dvd (pathetic), I was extremely jealous of the vertical sliding rear window, it was so much larger than my horizontal one. The seats also go back when I opened the door, thought that was a nice touch, but it didn't feel quicker than my truck was at the time (exhaust, e-fans, intake). It spun them more off the line but it didn't pull as hard.

I'm not surprised they lowballed him Josiah. The dealers here are terrible. I went to Morgan Hill to buy my truck.

they offered me 14000 for mine just because of all the mods ive done to it. They said 19000 if it was bone stock. Therefore im trying to sell it before i try to get an 06 fx4. Apparently dealerships dont like suspension lowering and efans?? Go Figure?

It's not that dealerships don't like the modifications but it's because people won't buy them. Potential customers (like me) are afraid of vehicles that have been modified. We think the modified vehicles have been misused and/or abused and fear future problems. With modifications, you need to keep the original parts and remove the modifications before you trade. The true cost of the modification is the cost of the modification plus the loss of value due to the modification (which is usually more than the modification itself).

Chill for a minute Josiah, I think what he was getting at is he wasn't taking $22k for a 10,000 mile Fx4. Don't think anything was directed at you.

Peace my friend
