Look cheap?

I've been deciding wheather or not if i should go with the chrome gas cap. Well i found this $20 chrome cover and im thinking about getting it. It has a stainless finish plus its only $20 compared to a new gas door which is 70. I just dont want it to stick out at all...sit flush with the body.

I have a polished billet one, but I'm waiting to put it on when I do everything to my truck. I think they look good, plus it's got to be better than the stock plastic lid.

I think the fake rivets (or whatever) kill it, just my opinion

Looks really cheap. I wouldn't put a 20 dollar fake looking gas cover on a 30+ thousand dollar truck.

Cheeze! I tried to find the real deal in brushed without the finger groove, but they never made it so I'm sticking with stock.

looks a little "south of the border" to me. Keep all door handles and gas lids stock, period

I would have to agree, unless upgrading to LT handles.

I went with the plain chrome one on e-bay. No rivets, about 20 shipped. Looks good, simple. It helps tie my chrome handles, emblem and wheels together. Don't care for the ones with the rivets/bolts.
Chris

You have to look close to notice it.

This is a bully. A chrome plated stainless version. VERY VERY heavy. I love it..

Cheap looking??? Yep. Forget that one and spring for a better looking one. In the long run that'll be the cheaper route. Save money where you can on these mods, but sometimes you gotta pay the man.............

For $20 .... buy the thing already, its not THAT bad .... when you get tired of it you wont feel bad when you replace it or pitch it.
