Suspension & Qusetion Thread
I think there are a lot of people in my situation. I am ready for a lift but I am a bit **** about how I go about lifting a truck.
1. I know a lift leads to bigger tires so I upgrade braking system before lift or tires.
2. I drive 35k a year in my rig and it sees EVERYTHING as far as terrain.
Since I like to fortify the fort before I do battle, so to speak, I think I may go with the brakes, 3" Skyjacker, & new gears. It’s a given new rim/tire package will be included. I have some questions though.
Ken, posted his heights in the wheel wells with his 3" lift and 285/70/17's. My truck in unusually level considering I only have a 1" difference front to back from the factory. With Ken's set-up I would gain 6" in the front But I would probably run 35" tires on 20" rims.
What heights are other lift/tire combinations giving people? I think this will be great information for anyone looking and debating at getting a lift. If you don't want to that’s cool but thank you to all that do give us some real numbers.
