Ford F150 Led 3rd Brake

FYI, an EBAY seller now has LED (L.E.D.) 3rd brake lights up for $75 each plus $8 S&H. They have LEDs for all bulbs. Who's going to be the guinea pig!? It just doesn't look like it's the right size. Could it be for Heritage and/or older models? I've already emailed the seller to see if it'll fit our newer body style trucks.

** I have no affiliation with this seller. I have not tried this product. Etc, etc, etc.

Search EBAY for the following: FORD F150 LED 3RD BRAKE

Interesting... I see they also use the same picture for the 97-03 brake light. I wonder which brake light is in the picture. Looks to me like the older style one.

Meh, those arent my style. I like the ones with LEDs for the brake lights but they also have halogen cargo lights.

UPDATE
The EBAY seller just replied to my inquiry and had the following to say:

sorry for the pic, yes, you are right, that is the light for the earlier models, but the auction is for the 04 up models, and it will fits f150 04 up all models, thnx

So, the lights he has will fit our trucks and be similar to the pictures shown ... using all LED bulbs.

I'd love to know if those are OEM lights opened up and customized. I have an extra light here and I've trying to figure out how to the seal apart to paint the inside black. May be trivial to some, but that 3rd brake light is a pet peeve of mine.

Just smoke it out on the outside and call it a day. It looks good with the HD tails. I stil have my smoked 3rd brake light with the HD tails, I'm not sure what I'm doing with the other smoked tails yet.

Steve, do you know if anyone carries the spray locally? I always try to do things the hard way first.

I opened up some headlights once with a heat gun and painted it black on the inside, but it was somewhat of a pain. I could see the 3rd brake light being a real pain to open. Unless you want to try the oven method.

anyways, I'm not sure if anyone local sells the spray. It's called Nite Shades by VHT. Check the auto parts stores, otherwise you can find it on the internet or Ebay.

I had them professionally done. I bought some spare lights and had them shipped out this shop in California that smoked them and clear coated them. I do like them alot but they did cut back on the reverse light output. The pics in my gallery are the custom smoked ones, not the HD tails.

recently I bought some HD tails to try out and gain back the reverse light brightness.

I'm not sure what I'm doing with the smoked tails, I may keep them or sell them.

cheaper with the spray paint, yes. But with the professional job I paid for, I got over $225 invested, which included some extra oem tails and 3rd brake light.
