"Check Plugs" error - truck wouldn't start?

I apologize for the lack of information but my wife just called me at work saying that our '04 Screw wouldn't start and where the digital odometer is on the XLT dash, all it said was "Check Plugs".

She called about 10 minutes later saying that it started right up, without the starter straining or anything that would point towards a close-to-dead battery.

Any clues? Thanks guys....

Are you sure it said check plugs??

This happens to mine frequently and it says "check guages."
I took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it (what a surprise ) It still happens frequently. I don't know why, but it doesn't seem to be anything bad.

Its a trick.. Ford wants you to check the plugs and when they break off. They will have you by the "you know whats"...

I know what it means... There's a sensor in the combustion chamber that senses when the plugs are beginning to seize to the heads.
