SPLASH/MUD GUARDS AND STOCK 20" WHEELS
Has anyone tried the Ford or Husky splash guards with the new stock 20 inch wheels/tires? I think the overall tire diameter is a little bigger than the 18 inch wheels, by about an inch. So i was wondering if they will rub in any way. I'd like to know before I order anything.
Also does anyone know if the Husky's are longer than the Ford guards? I did a search and couldn't find an answer to this one.
Sorry to revive the splash guard posts but I don't think these questions have ever been asked.
Thanks,
Redbuck50

Yeah, I'm interested in knowing this too, as I want to buy the Ford factory accessory molded splash/mud guards and have 20" wheels on a new 2006 Lariat SCrew 6.5' 4x2.

Actually I did, the Ford's. I have 305/20s and was worried about the width more than the height. But for some reason, they did not follow the contour of my lower fender. The fender had much less of a curve and I couldn't or didn't want to try to get the factory flares to curve down to fill the flap/gap. It was about 1 1/2 inches.
It a shame too, I was depressed
they looked pretty good. I'm not really a mud guard advocate, but sooo much cr%@ gets all over the running boards and up in the inner fender wells etc.
I have had the Husky's before, and like the factory units better as they have a more molded look to them. I was thinking of some of the rubber one's, but....nah.
Didn't mean to be soooo long winded.

I had to remove mine when I put new wheels and tires on my truck. They are the factory Ford plastic mud guards. The front ones will fit any new style F150. The back ones will only fit the flareside. Anyone who wants them and is willing to pay for shipping can have mine for free. You will have to buy new screws to hold them on though, since my stock fender flares are being held on by those screws. You can see the rear ones in this picture:
