E-fan Wiring.

Hey everyone,

I installed my E-fans today. And i had a couple of questions. Does anyone know of a good place to tap into for the 12volt Ignition source? (only on when ign. is on) Also does anyone know what wire to tap into for the AC ?

If anyone has pictures thats even better

Thanks,
NIck

If you look at the very bottom and to the left, you can see a pulley. That is the AC Compressor, it's somewhere down there. The wire is a little bit behind the pulley (more to the left of it), and you use that cheap splicer to clamp over and tap into it. Good luck, hope I've helped a little bit, I had quite a bit of trouble wiring my e-fans but as you see in the pic, it's all worked out. Make sure you cover the fuse up, look in my gallery and you'll see what happened to mine. If you can help me out, take a look at the fuse (not connected to the fan controllers), but it came seperate and you have to connect it between the hot lead from the low temp fan, look at that fuse and tell me how big it is, I put a 30w fuse in there but as you'll see in my gallery, it's impossible to tell and it doesn't say in the manual.

you can tap into the radio circuit for switched power, and the AC wire is gray/white stripe. not sure what kind of controller you have, if its the one troyer or jusnes modified uses, there have been a few problems on a batch of controllers, IE the inline fuse on the wrong wire, the adjuster pot backwards etc. and the fuse holder gets some internal resistance. its easy stuff to fix, if you know its there. if you want more info i can give it

There is like a box on the passenger side firewall with a boat load of wires. The wire you want will be on the lower right hand corner in the bundle.
