Just checked this morning. Edge has updates ready on the Lightning software, I'm gonna go return my truck to stock, download the updates and see what's new!

 

its not a update, its just a link to the Lightning software that we downloaded from the link in the manual, before it was posted on there website...

I checked it last night....

 

Hmm. I downloaded the update, hooked up my Edge to the 'puter and ran the update file. I really can't tell if anything was updated. Here's what the Lightning software gave me as far as my current info:
So, I guess the next thing to do is go plug it back into the truck and see if there's any new features. (I'm hoping for that MPG feature that was mentioned earlier). I wish they would tell you what's new in the update. Oh well, if anyone else does the update and figures it out, please post.

Have you done any 0-60 runs yet? Curious to see what your getting at the high altitude to what others are getting.

 

I have not done any 0-60 runs, as that's not the reason I bought the tuner (plus I've had a flu buy that obviously is a thinly disguised nerve agent test). However, I will do some this week.

I'm sure everyone will get considerably different numbers, just because of the different configurations of vehicles and aftermarket equipment. It would be nice to see a 2WD short bed get near 7.0 sec. I won't even think that my SCREW will get near the 8.5 second mark with the EDGE. :o

 

If you believe the Edge readings, my SCREW ran 7.54

 

Have you checked your tire circumference? I found the roll three times, devide by three...convert to mm method to be very exact.

or just go by the manual, everythings calculated in there. My 315/75/16s are 2760mm. I got 8.22 sec 0-60 with 35s. It has to be pretty acurate tho, it knows when your still moving, and when you stop, than when you take off again as well as how fast you are going if you have the right tire size entered so its got my vote that its pretty accurate.

Anyways do you guys know of any updates for the 1997-2003 version? I cant find any so i assume not. Thanks guys!

 

holy crap i just realized this thread was made 5 years ago...HOLY CRAP!

 

I was gonna give you a WTF. Edge doesn't use lightning anymore, they use a program called Fusion, atleast for the 04+ they do.

 

I use Fusion for my '01. Works perfect.
