After a hard days work...

Well we've had a nice little warm stretch this week here in Wisconsin. What a better way to spend my day off than to wash and wax the truck. A heated garage was still a must for the waxing though. A buddy (IRISHFX4) and I took advice from many to try the meguirs NXT wax. AWESOME stuff. We also had a lot of road tar on the box sides that I didn't know was there until recently. Only a clay bar would take the stuff out. The paint on these 2 trucks is smoother than glass right now. Just though I'd post some pics and show off the labor intensive day. Pretty cloudy though. Now for a

First pics with the new door handles too..

I'd been using the Meguiar's Gold and tried Eagle One yesterday. It was a little hard to get off but looked incredible when done.

Looks great guys! Gonna NXT mine today. Smokestone, Meguairs makes NXT Tech Wax. You can get it at Autozone, Advanced Autoparts, Walmart, etc. Great stuff! Let it sit for 24 hours on your paint, then apply a nice Carnuba over top to seal it in.

04f150PA,
that is after using a mothers clay bar and one coat of meguiars nxt wax (on both trucks). the funny thing is we are not really good photographers and the pictures dont do it justice. it is amazing the difference this stuff makes. the paint is literally as smooth as glass. i think it also made a huge difference to clay the entire truck. we both had a lot of tar and other crap on the sides of the truck from the winter roads and you can just hear/feel the clay taking that off.

thanks for the compliments
