Opinions on Tips

In the immediate future, I'm going to be doing something different with my tip on my Maggie SISO...

I don't have a dual out... didn't want it because all they offered was a rear exit (or L look) with duals. Not my thing but, I do like the thought of dual side exit (again though, not Lightning). I almost bought the Corsa system for JUST this reason...

With that in mind, I've been kicking around the idea of doing this:

My biggest worry is that it's going to look 'goofy' though... like I went to Wal-Mart and bought a 'bolt on' tip. Also, I'm just not sure if there's enough chrome...

Opinions?

Won't look right will it?

As long as it looks like you have two pipes running out it will look good. Like Craz3d said, those tips are pretty short, so you will see the split, which does remind me of the "walmart" tips. I think I tried those when I was like 16 if that tells you anything.

yeah, don't use those Wal-mart specials. To do it right (or at least look good), you would have to make a "Y" further back under the truck and have the two pipes/tips coming out the back to where you want them behind the tire. but you have to hack up your catback system for that, is it worth it? I say it looks good enough as is...

Kind of what I suspected...

The angle is juxtaposed by the angle at which I took the photo. While it does angle down slightly, it's not as pronounced as what it appears in that picture.

Thanks for your opinions guys... I have a new tip coming -- just not sure what I'm going to use yet... maybe just replace it with another rolled 18" like that... (my maggie came in with a scuffed tip from hotexhaust and they're replacing it.... a year later.)

I'd like that single tip you show if it was longer.

I agree with the other guys that the dual tips kind of scream out "boy racer".

I agree with the others Brad. I think what you have is better looking than that tip. Having said that, we have an '06 Harley in stock and that factory tip is VERY nice looking in person. That may be an idea...hmmm. Oh and buy the way...that tire needs a little tire dressing please.

I had 2 rolled edge tips on the right side behind the wheel on my 98 lariat. It was a sharp setup. Similar to the harley trucks.

I originally wanted the same thing(dual out the side behind the wheel) but I'm happy with my SISO Magnaflow. I think the 4" tip makes "it" In other words, I would stick with the same.
