hmmm...what to do? (tire combo)

Alright well now that i got the 2.5inch leveling kit i can finally decide what i really wanna do for my tire/wheel combo.
My choices are: Keep stock 18inch FX4 wheels and put 35inch bfg muds on
OR
Buy either the 18inch helo maxx 6 or motor metal 951 and put them on 33's which will cost a lot more. I mean the fx4 wheels dont look that bad. What would you do?

Well you have seen what I did. I don't really like my stock wheels, but the FX4 wheels are good looking. When I did my 2.5 level and tires I knew the only way I could go with 35's was keep the stock wheels. Now that I have found the new american racing wheels I will be switching out early this spring. I say go with the 35's with the stock wheels. The OEM wheels seem to balance easier and taking the slight chance that one aftermarket wheel might possibly be out of round just a little can make a huge difference in the ride. I do alot of driving and the ride is very important to me. You know the stock wheels are perfect or you would have already been back to the dealer. Either way make sure you post pic's.

I say Toyo Open Country M/Ts on your FX4 and than when you decide to get a lift you can get new wheels.

The Toyo Open Country MT's are simply the best tire on the market in my opinion.

I'd go with the aftermarket wheels and 33's.

Just wondering...is it true if i were to put 33inch toyo mts on the stock wheels that the tires wear in the middle more because of the offset of the wheels?

No, The tire wear has nothing to do with the offset. The width of the wheel, and the width of the tire makes the difference in tire wear. Also the tire pressure has the most impact on tire wear.

Go with the 35s, unless you think you'll be able to wear out the 33s completely before you get your lift. .

wheel width 8.5-10.0-11.0 I would be just fine?

I say the FX4 rims. Mine came stock w/ the 17" FX4 rims, which I didn't like, so I bought the 18" FX4 take-offs. I'm very happy with my choice and have no plans to change. IMO that's the best looking rim Ford has for these trucks.

Think Pittsburg will pull it off this weekend?

Your 35's will fit no problem on your STOCK wheels.
