What to Look for in a Detail Shop
What to Look for in a Detail Shop
i am thinking of taking my truck to a detail shop to have it cleaned inside and out waxed etc.....
i do a lot of hunting and my truck is a mess..inside and out...
i was wondering if anyone has used a detail shop....what should i look for and what should i expect to pay....?
thanks.

I use Ziebart. They do a great job for me. Once they do it once they will warranty it. If you get a spot on your seats they will fix it for no charge. They provide a full detail inside and out. I have this done about once every other month. I love my truck and I want it taken care of. Just an idea. Also you would be surprised how many ford dealers have a detail shop. I would call your local ford dealers and see. Most ford dealers use car brite products that are very good in quality. Check it out and let me know.
It all depends on how serious of a detail job you want done on the truck.
Ask to see some work they have done.
Have them walk around the truck with you, point out areas of concern and let them address the problems with you.

Make a roadtrip to RP's house.
I dunno, I usually do my own detailing. Although I think in general, you'd want to verify the quality of their work...see if they've got other vehicles around the shop that have been detailed, see how those came out. Banners or flyers advertising well known, quality products that they use would probably be a good thing too. Word of mouth could tell you a lot about all kinds of businesses. Some auto repair shops and dealers sublet cleaning and detailing to outside shops, you may want to check with some of them and see who they'd recommend.
