Throttle lag since the Reflash

About 6 weeks ago, I had the dealer do the reflash according to the recent TSB. Before the reflash, I had horrible throttle response off the line. The reflash really helped this, although I still think the truck feels pretty gutless overall.

Anyway, since the reflash I have noticed a terrible throttle lag/dead spot when it shifts from 3 down to 2. For example, when you turn a corner and it downshifts. It really has made this truck no fun to drive. In fact quite annoying.

Anyone else experience something like this?

My reflash was just the opposite. I had the problem before and the reflash solved it.

How long has it been? Your truck might just need to learn how you drive. Give it a tank of gas and see if it gets better.

I had lag before the reflash. It was better for a little bit after the reflash, or so i thought. After getting my Troyer xcal2 i have a totally different truck, i like to say i got a rocket now!!! Throttle lag is a thing in the past!!!

Mine never had good pick up and they said my truck was built 8 days after the tsb was good. Tried it any way and still no power but had a lag now after acceleration but that went away. Still no power. On another note raced a 06 Eddie bauer Explorer with my wifes 05 Tahoe and smoked it. My F-150 doesnt even come close to the power of the explorer or the Tahoe

That has got to be frustrating. I was sick about how mine ran before the reflash and was considering buying a programmer becasue it was just a dog. The reflash really woke it up and made it fun to drive. I am sure a programmer would make it even better, but don't know what I would do with it except use more gas and rubber..

Its killing me now but a programer is last on my list. I need(want) other things for my truck. I have more power at half throttle then full throttle. Im hoping another tsb comes out.

You might ask guys on here that know more than I do about this stuff, such as Quintin, but I think I would disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes, then go out and drive it pretty hard for a while and see what happens. Let it relearn.

It has been 6 plus weeks and 3500 miles. I'll try the battery disconnect and drive hard idea.

Thanks, I`ll try that. I baby the truck a lot and drive it once or twice a week. I had it since July 5th and only have 2400 miles on it.

How do you know if your truck needs the reflash?

My problem is no power, no passing gear. and the build date has to be before April of 05. There is a cut off date in April some time and what ever it is mine was built 8 days after but still has no power.
