So I go to my dealer to drop my truck off to get brakes looked at. Squeaking and driving me crazy. Went back to get my truck and was talking with dealer about RWHP in how we are really getting the shaft in Colorado being at a high altitude. Told him ours only puts out 210-220 RWHP from factory and we are getting 15% less here where we live....His response was this....

The F-150 puts out 300 RWHP. He said one of the head service men told him that....I told him he better check again....I about fell out when he said one of the lead service men gave him that info...Wonder what he was

Service manager probably only one who read the brochure, and the RWHP got mixed up with flywheel.

 

WOW, That is sad. He probably is just repeating something he heard someone else say.

 

I'd go back to him and tell him that your truck doesn't feel like its putting out 300rwhp and you want it checked out and fixed until it does put out 300rwhp.

It has 300hp but not 300 to the ground that's crap you'd lose at least 45 sending it to the ground..

dealers are so stupid. they dont know about anything about their cars and trucks. when I bought my truck I asked him what the big black thing under the seat was (audiophile system) and he had no clue and he asked around and noone else knew either. dumba$$

When I walked into my local ford dealership, I was met at the door by a waitress at one of the bars I frequent. She had just started there 3 weeks prior. 6 months later.....she's back at the bar. Said she couldn't make any money due to all the employee pricing promos.

I apologize for the ignorance of some salespeople. Here in the Orlando region, and at my dealership, we are required to be product knowledge certified. When I first started selling Ford product many years ago, I was not
permitted to even talk to a customer until I could pass all the tests. (back in the day you could make good money selling Ford product)

We all made less money this year, and sold fewer vehicles. If people can't make a living, they go elsewhere. The Ford dealers give away all the front end profit without a fight. Yep, drop their drawers right away. Can't give the things away. No front end mark up equals no sales comissions for salespeople. Its true, ****tail waitresses probably make more money than most of your Ford salespeople these days.
