Warranty on warranty related work?

Stupid question:

If while under warranty you have a part replaced, is that part then covered beyond the original warranty or does it expire the same time the 3 yr/36k mile warranty expires? For example, a rear end clutch pack replaced at 22k miles? I think the answer is it expires at 3 yr3/36k, regardless...but thought I'd ask anyway

I'm not %100 sure but it used to be 12/12 or the remainder of the factory 3/36 which ever is longer.

It's covered until 36K. (22 + 12 = 34)
If the clutch pack was replaced at 32k miles, the remainder of the 12k warranty would kick in and it would be covered until 44k.

If the 12k warranty doesn't exceed the 36k mark, it wouldn't apply.
