Question Truxedo Lo-Pro and Bedrug??

Just picked up a new 2006 FX4 styleside this week.

Has anyone put a Truxedo Lo-Pro and Budrug combo on their truck? Does this combination work together without any issues?

I searched the "mods" thread but didn't find anything but that doesn't mean someone hasn't done it.

I'm about to order the Truxedo cover but haven't decided on the Bedrug or just a mat.

Also, has anyone removed their Bedrug after some time to see if there was any wear on the paint?

Thanks,

I would like to know this as well. I'm about to pull the trigger on these same exact items for my 2005 SCrew.

How hard are these to install? I can get them installed at a local dealer for $425 for the Lo Pro and $350 for the BedRug. The best prices I can find online are $365 for the Lo Pro and $289 for the BedRug (free shipping on both, no tax). Anyone find anything better? Is it worth the extra to have it installed?

I have the Trux lo-pro, it only took 30 mins to install by myself. All you need is a 9/16 wrench. Just clamp the side rails to bed sides (making sure they are even and level) clamp the header rail-cover assy to the front of the side rails, unroll it and latch it into place, thats it. I don't have a bedrug, but I do have a Ford plastic bedliner and it stays clean and dry even in Cleveland weather

I installed a Truxedo Lo-Pro on my '03 flareside and it was easy. Well actually my wife installed it because I had an injured hand at the time. She's the best!
If you are mechanically inclined I would save the install $ and do it yourself. They wanted $60 to install mine.

I liked it so much I'm putting one on the new truck. I've found the same prices you did.

I have a bedrug and Extang Full Tilt cover. The bedrug is easy to install and should not get in the way of any cover. I haven't pulled mine out and have no intentions of ever doing so, so I have no clue what it looks like under there.

It looks like the Bedrug goes up under the bed lip and would not interfere with any clamp-on type of cover. Thanks for the reply scorpio333.

Still undecided on the Bedrug or just a mat.

The bed rug goes up under the rails (might be able to see it in my gallery). So, I imagine it would not interfere with your Truxedo.

The bed rug takes about 10 minutes to install. One of the easier bed mods you can do. Not much chance of it damaging the bed paint. It's padded on back, and if you install it correctly, it won't move around. It's held in place with a ton of velcro tape.

I have the Bedrug and Lo-pro combo on my truck and they work fine together. They are both a breeze to install too. If you have a bed extender with the Truxedo it will no longer just flip over because the bed rails stick out too far. The bed extender will have to be removed and then flipped. Seems you have to do that about 90% of the time anyway.

Welcome to the site Kingbrancho!

Thanks for the reply and your first at that.
I ordered the Bedrug and Lo-Pro yesterday. They should be here in about a week.

No pics yet, but I need to get stock truck pics before I mod anything. I have 4 orders of new parts on the way and I've only had it 1 week. Right now it looks like most other stock True Blue Scab's except for to new 20's. I need to update my gallery too.
