ugly woodgrain, anybody help?
hi fellas, just wanted to know if any of you have taken off and painted the stock woodgrain? the a/c-radio panel is not difficult, but what about the doors? i would love any help.

On the door panels, you'd probably be best off by masking the area and sanding/painting in place. The trim pieces CAN be removed, but reattaching them might prove to be tricky. The trim pieces have a plastic "rod" that protrudes through the backside of the door panel then mushrooms out to hold it in place, similar to a pop rivet. You could cut the mushroom head off and remove the trim piece but then you'd have to figure out a way to reattach it by melting something back into the now headless rod, hotgluing something to it, krazy glue, etc. I don't know if I'd really like to do something like that, but if you think about it, it's not like it's a load bearing point or anything. All it does is keep the trim piece from falling out.
