cig burn on tonneau cover

Came out of the grocery store, loaded up, and got in. When I went to back up I saw something laying on my cover. Get out and it's a cig butt. It burned a tiny lil hole in the cover. Not a big deal since I have a brand new one in the basement, but still pisses me off. Any case, wondering the best way to glue something to underneath of cover to keep water out. Any suggestions?

That's a bum deal, so many nimrods, so little time. A very quick fix would be some heavy duty black duct tape strategicly placed under there...

A dab of black silicone wouldn't hurt either!
