I noticed the other day the rear "Ford" emblem on an 06' was different than mine. The new ones are a little thicker and the ford script is raised, it looks a little nice imo. Just seeing if anyone noticed this yet.

 

hmmmmm I didn't think they were different but they might be? I will have to get some pics of my truck here shortly...waiting on friend's digital camera

i just installed the Harley grille and the new emblem it came with has raised letters. my old one didn't. that's a nice little detail i think.

 

I havent noticed it either, I guess ill have to pay a little more attention.

 

i had not noticed untill i saw this thread, i then went out side to look at mine, and sure enough, the letters are raised! Good Eye Thrill Racing!

 

The letters are raised for the blind folks ,,,braille

The rear emblem is also different.

My '05 eblem was scratched while loading stuff into the bed. I ordered a new one from Ford and they asked if I minded having the '06 emblem instead of the '05 'cause it was on backorder. I said "fine."

It's a little "bulkier" and - I think - sits in the indention a lot better given the size.

 

No, they "raised" the letters in an effort to stop those guys that sell all the overlay decals for the Ford badges... :-)

 

Damn, I was just reading a thread this morning about mods and I was looking in the mods of the member Myst. I notice his overlay sticker and was thinking that would look good on my 06.
