OEM black step bar pic request

I went to the dealer to order these step bars:

http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/...s=1&detail=yes

But supposedly Ford does not make them anymore, and I can't find any new trucks on the lot with them... ...I really want to see what they look like. I wanted something low profile, and I think these fit the bill. I guess I'll just order them off this website, or should I just go to the parts dept?

Thanks in advance

You will pay dearly from Ford for those, try eBay instead. There is usually someone selling their stock ones to replace with some aftermarket ones, like I did. Sold my OEM set for like $75

I have the ones pictured in post #2.. I plan on selling them here in a few months.

I'm gonna take em off when I lower it, along with my Husky mud flaps.

I have the ones like sterusmall does but in chrome. They make my black fx4 look sharp. I would recommend them.

jztbcz,

Those are the ones I want, but for a supercrew. Ford doesn't put those on new trucks anymore, according to the dealership, and they only have the tubular, oval shaped, and platform steps as options now. I guess I'll have to buy some of those off of an '04 or '05 member. Any other suggestions??

I know what you are going through. I purchased my 04 supercrew and those exact steps were supposed to be on the truck. It showed up without. To make a long story short, Those step bars are OEM- as in installed at factory, so they are not listed in the Ford Accessory catalog. Have the dealer look up the part #s. I know they can because I raised holly H*ll about it and the next week they ordered them and had them at the dealer. Oh by the way- don't worry about left side and right side part #s. The dealer ordered left and right sides. Said that the right side was backordered 6 weeks. I took the left side home and measured the factory mounting holes. Both truck sides were the same. I told the dealer to order another left and installed it myself. There is 0 difference from left to right, even though they showed different part numbers. They also fit with the factory mud flaps front and rear. I think I might even have the correct part #s at home. Let me know If you are interested and I will try to dig them up. It was a pain in the *ss, but I thought they are the best looking out of all the choices and yes, they still make them. They are giving you the song and dance because it is a hassle looking the parts up. Good luck.
