Calling XM Radio Experts!!!!!

o.k. guys, I've searched and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I want to install XM in my truck. I have the Audiophile/MP3/6CD unit, with steering wheel controls and it's a Lariat. My question is: Is there a receiver that'll utilize my Aux channel/input on my factory unit so I can still use my steering wheel controls and the radio functions with the sat just like it does with everything else?

I'd really like to keep my stock HU but I also want XM integrated into my stock unit. Any advice or just a pipe dream?

You will make the audio come from the stock HU using a PIE adapter with quality sound, however I dont believe you will be able to switch stations on a Sirius/XM with your steering wheel controls, volume level yes, input yes but changing stations on the satelite no.

Exactly correct.

If you wish to control your new XM satellite radio via a head unit, you'll be forced to drop your stock headunit and go to something that is "XM Ready".

For now, the PIE unit, from the sounds of what you want, is the route to go. The PIE will connect any audio unit with a 'output' that can be routed into a RCA cable into your factory head unit (pending it has an AUX button and you don't have the DVD factory system).

Again, search PIE. And read for hours...
