"New" F150... Need some help

Hey guys! I just picked up an 04 Roush Tejon, but unfortunately I'm left with a couple of questions. I'm still searching for some information from Roush but they have yet to get back with me.

It says in the manual that the keyless entry code is located on the computer module. Where would I find that?

After buying it I immediately changed the oil and checked the filters... it didn't have an air filter WTH?? Am I missing something?

All the power (cigarette plug, all other 12V outlets inside) are constant on - which is a disappointment. I can't just leave things plugged in like I could in my other cars. Is there any way to change that?

We drove it back from Iowa (that's where I bought it and I was home for Christmas anyway ) and I averaged about 14mpg. Seems a bit low, even for 75 mph...

Thanks for any help you can give!

Congrats, first off got pics? Not many Tejon's I've seen except for a Sales Rep driving a demo!

First off, my keyless entry code was on a card inside my manual. That is the master keyless code which always works, and let me set my own so check in there.

Hopefully when you say you checked for an air filter you pulled off the intake tube that connects into the fenderwell and were looking there. That's just to draw air in, the air filter actually sits just above the intake, on the center of the engine. Make sure you were checking the right place...if youw ere, and it's still not there, then well, get one because that's not a Roush mod

As far as constant 12V power, you'd have to cut the constant power line and tap it into the ACC/Remote power line as if you were hooking up amps.

If your truck is damn near brand new, don't worry about that MPG. Matter of fact, don't be concerned at all with MPG because they vary VERY widely here. Has a lot to do with driving style, and other things...not to mention these things aren't supposed to be gas sippers.

Enjoy your truck, and let's see some pics!

Well, I'll try to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow - I'm new to this forum so I need to figure it all out. Besides, if I post pictures of my truck before I put our Christmas pictures out on Ofoto I'll be in SERIOUS trouble.

[Edit] Well, I'll deal with the wrath :P ... here are some pictures: https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=7002

I've looked through my manual up and down but I think someone threw out the card or the original owner hung onto it by accident. Strangely, there isn't much other than the original Ford documents that was with the vehicle. My daughter likes the Blues Clues flyer though. :P

As for the air filter, there was nothing in the tray so I added one right away. I may pick up one of the Roush or a K&N filter.

My truck is just about to turn over 25,000 so it's still pretty new. I love it, but I have a hard time finding a place to park it so it doesn't get dinged lol.

Beautifull truck!!!
Hopefully this isn't a dumb question, but what's a Roush Tejon model?
Option wise?

Thank you!

As for the options, it has the Roush front chin spoiler, hood, floor mats, billet pedals, leather seats (black/gray), interior trim kits, 20in wheels, and dual exhaust system.

Very nice! Definitelly a rare breed around here. There are 3 versions of those.....stage 1 which is what you have is appearance goodies, stage 2 is same + suspension mods, and stage 3 is 1+2+roush charger. I went strait for stage 3 . At 25,000 miles, and still getting 14 mpg...thats's about all you can expect out of it since it is good and broke in. Unless you do a few gas mileage mods (tuner, E-fans, on and on) then you are more or less stuck with that. I got around 15mpg highway before mods, and after mods and before charger I was getting 17.5-18 regularly. Now I am back down to 15-16 but I have a lot more fun . WELCOME to the board and NICE TRUCK!
